Shotan - He's a bit like Sazaku, and probably ran from the castle because Serynia did a suicide...
Eijin - Eijin did fall from Avalon, and when he landed probably went out cold. He wakes up, hates his brother Kima and thinks his true quest is to kill Kima (athough I sorta doubt that...)
DMC napisał(a):..DMC, that guy who left the town so long ago, became fairly intrigued with the idea of the hooded man..how does his existence tie into the big picture? Could he be a silent interloper who watches the hero's struggles from afar? Friend or Foe..Lo and Behold, I don't know..
If it follows the same route as LS3, then it has to be none other than one of..The Usual Suspects.
(I was bemused when Paran was revealed to be Barbatta, mainly because, I thought it was so obvious that he was..with the skin and hair and all..that there was no possible way it could be Barbatta..at least, I was surprised when it happened, albeit, not with surprise, but mroe with recognizing my stupidity for looking beyond the obvious.)
Let me review..for your enjoyment, or for your disdain, I guess I should get this under way..
I. Eijin
..I really shouldn't even have to think about this. It's so stupid..that it has to be Eijin. Mainly for the same Barbatta/Paran thing I was talking about before..my intelligence and inability to accept the obvious could come back to haunt me once again, and I can't go against the fact that the hooded man does look a small bit like Eijin. However, Roco made these facesets, not Kamau..and if you editted that faceset, I can almost guarentee you someone, if not everyone would have noticed it. It could have just worked out that way; the facesets just happen to look alike..there just happened to be a faceset that looked like Barbatta.
But..Eijin is dead, and I'm rather hoping he'll stay that way; how corny would it be if he's saved? Or if he's brought back as some mindless servant..or, even more laughable, brought back on a higher plane; i.e. that of the gods..?
No, it doesn't make sense, and even if it did, it opens a whole bunch of questions. If Kima killed Eijin, then his body would still be lying there, and Dadelia would still be mourning over him more than likely (Although, strangely enough, she reacts the same way, whether Kima kills his brother or not..) and there would be no possible way for Eijin too come back after Avalon has fallen..and even if he did, he still has to make it all the way to that outlook over Tudar city. Let's say..Kima doesn't kill Eijin..that still won't sense because; in a show of massive remorse, and grief (or stupidity, which I prefer) Eijin kills himself and Barbatta..is it just me or do you have a fascination with tragedy's..?
Anyway, Eijin is dead, he was meant to die, because no matter what Kima did, his brother still died; and he watched it all, unable to stop him. You know, I always found that a bit ironic..but even stranger; funny.
Case Closed.
Basis For Decision?: No matter what anyone says, your not going to come up with something that corny with Eijin returning..will you?
II. Dansa
..For the less shallow people, and for me, this is a popular choice. Dansa, of course; he's been cast down as Valmot once was by Dansa's own hand, and now he is willing to start a new life as a human, this is what his journey is..his journey through life, not as a god, but as something lesser, but grander at the same time..
..Uh..sure..yeah, right.
I can't remember exactly what happens in the good ending of LS3, but I think Dansa was cast down from Avalon by Ysud and the other gods. This makes sense, it seems like a god can't kill another god, or else Dansa would've killed Valmot..and it seems like a god can't be stripped from his or her powers; Valmot transformed into his "Omen" form, and I've finally realized that an Omen enemy isn't someone with the power of Dansa, but something much broader than that; an Omen form is anything, or anyone that has the pwoer of a god or goddess, seeing as how Valmot could transform, and how Dansa and him had a mutual hatred for each other, it's highly unlikely he got it from Dansa to say the least.
That said, your probably wondering what I'm getting at and asking yourself, how Valmot and the hooded man piece together the puzzle; at least for me. So I'll get to it..two things; the hooded man is seen only when Dansa and Avalon, along with everyone else of any relative importance it seems, dies. It seems to me, that the only place the gods can have a true impact, or their full influence on Berryulsir..is in Avalon, in that sense, the gods, when seperate, can easily be dispatched (Dansa was a wimp, but it seemed like he was hindranced by..you know, being a sword and all) but when together, in a place like Avalon, they can achieve unbelievable things. The other gods probably knew Dansa had to be stopped, and abandoned him, leaving it to the Legion Masters instead of saving everyone the trouble of banishing him..for whatever reason.
Now, really, even if the hooded man would be seen in the good ending, and he was Dansa, is there any way that he would be able to accept all of this so..easily? Nonchalantly? Dansa seemed like a self righteous kind of guy who always thought he was right because of his status on the food chain. The hooded man seemed like a soft spoken observer, not a malevolent bastard. And if that had been Dansa, he would have beeen.
Case Closed.
Basis For Decision?:
It just doesn't make sense; Dansa would have to be completely out of character to so easily let fate carry him away like that. His self righteous attitude doesn't fit with calm, resourceful nature of our hooded man.
..
So, what have I figured out?
Nothing..back to square one..but I guess, realizing who the hooded man isn't, helps a small bit. Unless, of course, you find a way to get around that, wihtout opening a myriad of plot holes (good luck) but I'm sure you have some ingenious idea on your hands, or at least, on the brink of one. :P
I've nailed it down to a select few, considering a few things I've learned..
Hooded man seems like one who's "good looking for his age, could be an Orogai..or something else. I don't think he's a god..
He believed that Avalon was the end of his journey, I've thought of almost everything, but it winds back to one word which fits my sentiments exactly; WTF? However, this could represent a..rebirth, or be an ultimate goal of some sort for the character. The Hooded Man doesn't seem to be a hateful kind of person, so, I don't think it was a hatred for Avalon that makes him happy for it's destruction. But a much deeper, more foreboding secret..WTF?
Hooded Man, our suspect, is obviously an experienced wanderer, or traveler. He seems to be pretty nonchalant; seeing the Legion Master and their ashes fall around you and still not freak out?
..
...
So, with all the thought I put into this, perhaps you could give me a small hint..although a mystery no longer interests me after the truth is revealed..hmm, an interesting predicament indeed.
Don't know why I jumped off and on this for the last 2 days or so..call it the "passion of the moment" I guess..
..I bet I'm getting close to the truth though, eh?
